JOB OPPORTUNITY – CONCRETER

We have an exciting opportunity within the Government sector for an experienced Concreter / Civil Operator to support the maintenance and construction of residential and remote civil infrastructure. This role sits within the Concrete and Asphalt Department and the potential for contract extension.

Position Details

Job Title: Concreter
Areas of work: Residential and city council work, roads, side walks etc.
Location: Armadale WA and surrounding or remote areas
Rate: $38 – $46 per hour + Super (dependent on experience)
Contract: 3–6 months, with option to extend
Department: Concrete and Asphalt

Key Requirements / Qualifications

• National Police Clearance
• WA HR Driver’s Licence
• White Card
• Certificate III in Civil Construction
• Confined Space Entry and Rescue
• Working at Heights
• Service Location and Gas Testing
• Traffic Control Ticket (current within 12 months)
• Experience working with high-pressure water

Experience & Skills (one or more required)

• Concrete laying and finishing
• Asphalt laying and road surfacing
• Prior council experience, particularly in residential and remote residential areas (highly regarded)
• Civil construction and maintenance works
• Stormwater infrastructure construction and maintenance
• Pipe laying
• Operation of civil plant and machinery (rollers, excavators, water trucks, etc.)
• Basic traffic management
• Ability to work effectively within a crew environment and demonstrate appropriate workplace behaviour
• Experience using technology platforms (work orders, electronic timesheets, permits)
